Land and Water Partnership
–The Rhode Island Land and Water Partnership was formed in 2003 to improve networking among, foster learning and collaboration in, and enhance the capacity of Rhode Island’s land trusts, watershed groups, and other community-based, grassroots conservation organizations. The Center conducts scientific research and economic analysis and reviews nonpartisan options for environmental policies.
NatureServe, an online encyclopedia of life, is a source for authoritative conservation information on more than 50,000 plants, animals, and ecological communities of the United States and Canada. NatureServe provides in-depth information on rare and endangered species, but also includes common plants and animals.
Student Conservation Association, Inc. is the nation’s largest provider of experiential conservation intern opportunities, and offers college and graduate students thousands of expense-paid positions, in over 50 disciplines, at natural and cultural resource sites throughout the US.
University of Maryland Institute for Ecological Economics (IEE) is a component of the University of Maryland’s system wide Coastal and Environmental Policy Program. IEE was established to fill the growing need to integrate study and management of ecology and economics.
