Habitat and Substrate: On trees, especially conifers.

Rhode Island Status: Uncommon; two collection sites from the bark of Pitch Pine.

Pollution Tolerance: Considered sensitive to acid rain and ozone.

Collection Site(s): Grass Pond, Richmond (#4906); Audubon Kimball Wildlife Sanctuary, Charlestown (#5559).

Notes: Reported previously in Rhode Island by Bennett (1888), Hebert (Flenniken 1968a), and Flenniken (1968b).
