Habitat and Substrate: Shade and partial shade on logs and soil.

Rhode Island Status: Uncommon.

Pollution Tolerance: Sensitive.

Collection Site(s): Grass Pond, Richmond (#4910); Diamond Hill State Park, Cumberland (#5524).

Notes: Previously reported in Rhode Island by Riddle (1910) and Hebert (Flenniken 1968a). Both specimens found during the present study are poorly developed, which may be the result of the effects of current air quality.
