Habitat and Substrate: Open to shaded areas, on wood, or more commonly, on soil.

Rhode Island Status: Uncommon.

Pollution Tolerance: Intermediate.

Collection Site(s): Carolina Wildlife Management Area, Richmond (#4932); Queen River, Exeter (#5013); Sprague Farm, Glocester (#5083); Iron Mine Hill Road, North Smithfield (#5479, #5521).

Notes: Previously reported in Rhode Island by Bennett (1888), identified by R.C. Harris, and by Greene (2000).
