Habitat and Substrate: Open to partial shade, on tree trunks and branches.

Rhode Island Status: Uncommon.

Pollution Tolerance: Intermediate.

Collection Site(s): Schoolhouse Pond/Deep Pond, Charlestown (#4881); Grass Pond, Richmond (#4919); Great Swamp Area, South Kingstown (#4951A); Nicholas Farm, Coventry (#5356); Kimball Wildlife Sanctuary, Charlestown (#5570).

Notes: Previously reported in Rhode Island by Hale (1965) and Hebert (Flenniken 1968a).
