Habitat and Substrate: Shaded to open areas, on soil and among mosses on rocks and tree bases.

Rhode Island Status: Collected once.

Pollution Tolerance: Sensitive, especially to ozone.

Collection Site(s): Big River Wildlife Management Area, West Greenwich (#5552, #5555, #5556).

Notes: Previously reported in Rhode Island by Bennett (1888).
