Habitat and Substrate: Shaded areas, on moss-covered rocks and hardwood trees.

Rhode Island Status: Uncommon.

Pollution Tolerance: Sensitive, especially to ozone.

Collection Site(s): Lime Rock, Lincoln (#5107); Big River Wildlife Management Area, West Greenwich (#5156).

Notes: Not previously reported in Rhode Island.
