Habitat and Substrate: Open to partial shade and roadsides, on both conifer and hardwood trees.

Rhode Island Status: Uncommon.

Pollution Tolerance: Intermediate.

Collection Site(s): Tuckerman Park, South Kingstown (#4971); Lime Rock, Lincoln (#5113); Lake Wallum, Burrillville (#5214); Scituate Reservoir, Scituate (#5254); Norman Bird Sanctuary, Middletown (#5383).

Notes: Previously reported in Rhode Island by Bennett (1888).
