Mentoring Students
From its inception, RINHS pursued a mission to educate the next generation of natural scientists. RINHS creates natural history curriculum and undertakes educational programs. RINHS also helps students at many levels to participate directly in real-world field projects, to gain access to data, or to borrow specialized equipment and references. Typically these are opportunities created by partnerships between RINHS and the student’s home institution. Examples include:
URI College of the Environment and Life Sciences Coastal Fellows Program
Laura D’Acuto
Ryan Kleinert’s Coastal Fellows poster on careers in natural resources science
Met School
South Side Community Land Trust
